Otherworld (Otherworld #1) by Jason Segel and Kirsten Miller

Otherworld was another book that I was lucky to get my hands on at YALC, the premise of the book grabbed my attention straight away.

Otherworld is more than a game its the next step in reality, This is what the Company says on it new game, a virtual world where anything is possible and all your dreams will come true. James thought it would be like another other game, turns outs that real life is more deadly than any game can be. What length will James go to find out the truth and save his friends.

This book was lot more than I was expecting, the book is full of drama and intrigue wrapped in a technological which is truly addictive. I really enjoyed James as a character, his uniqueΒ in appearance as well as his outlook on situation. One of my favourite moments is the way in which James deal with some female bullies at school. I enjoyed reading this book so much that I read it in one sitting, I can’t wait to see what happens next.

I was really interesting in the aspect of the book, in which people can do what ever they wish in Otherworld, and most of the people choices seemed to be one of the seven deadly sins.

Anyone that like book that mixing gaming, fantasy and mystery will enjoy this book.

I give this book 4.8 out of 5
