The Bone Collection by Kathy Reichs

The Bone Collection is a collection of short stories that give us a snap shots of Tempe Brennan through different cases in her life. The book is an easy to pick up and read. Each stories is long enough to get you interested, but short enough that you can easily read each in one sitting without your sleep being affected.  There are four stories in this collection;

  • Bones in her Pocket
  • Swamp Bones
  • Bones on Ice
  • First Bones

All the stories were really interesting but my favourite was Tempe first case. It was interesting to see how she ended up as a forensic anthropologist and how really all down to Slidell. I found it weird when Tempe having a glass of wine as I’m so use to her drinking Pepsi or coke.

One of the reason I love this series is that I always learn something new, from the protocol when climbing Everest, birds and effects on airplanes etc.

If anyone has read the Tempe Brennan book this short story selection is a must. If you haven’t then give it a read as these short stories will break you into this world.
