One Fell Sweep by Ilona Andrews

One fell Sweep is book 3 in the Innkeeper Chronicles, the books follow Dina the Innkeeper of Gertrude Hunt a magical Bed and Breakfast. The Inn looks after people from other worlds in the universe, Dina jobs is to look after them and to keep the universe secret from the people of earth.  Dina now has to deal with saving her sister and niece from a baron planet, and a guest that an endangered species is being hunted down. Now Dina has to keep everyone safe while she gather a group that can help the endangered species.

It refreshing to read a different take on the fantasy world, making the Vampires and Werewolves alien, it’s a interesting to see what different to ‘normal’ Vampires and Werewolves and what similar. What I really like is about the job of an Innkeeper and the connection between the two, that the Inn is living being and that Dina treats it as such.

I read many book and read about many different jobs, this is one job that I would like myself. To look after many different type of people from the universe while living in a magic house, where I can change the Inn to what ever suit it need. Without the need of a handyman.

If you like reading stories with different takes on Vampire, Werewolves and magic then I would give this series a read. The book keep you interesting from beginning to end and aren’t to long so you can read it in one sitting.

If you do end up reading this series I have listed the reading order just encase.

  • Clean Sweep
  • Sweep in peace
  • One Fell Sweep.

I give this book 4 out of 5
