FlashFall by Jenny Moyer

I received Flashfall in my November Nerdy Bookworm box, to be honest I wouldn’t have picked this book out myself. I had this book for a couple of month and kept putting it off reading, until yesterday and once I started reading I couldn’t put it down. If I hadn’t received a dirty look from my dog who was trying to sleep I would have read into the night.

The book follows a world where radioactive partials rains from the sky. Orion a Supbar a human that can work near and with radioactive material. Her people mine cirium the only element that can shield humanity from the radioactive material. They are told if they mine over 400g they can go into the protected city, but when newcomers come to Outpost Five  everything changes.

Jenny Moyer has created an interesting world, a world that you could believe could happen (hopefully not). She has also created character that I started caring for straight away, Orion and Dram their dynamic is a joy to read, they bring out the best in each other which you can see from the beginning. Orion is one of my favorite female leads she is hard-working, smart, determined and caring. She willing to do anything for the people that she cares about which makes her more fascinating.

This book fast past and none stop and I can’t wait to see what happens next in Flashtide which is realised November 14th 2017.
