The Caller (Robert Hunter #8) By Chris Carter

The Caller is book 8 in the Robert Hunter series that follows Robert Hunter and Carlos Garica of the Special section of the LAPD Homicide and burglary department.

This time Robert Hunter and his partner Carlos Garcia are on the hunt for a killer that calls a victim love one and tells them if they answer two questions correctly then the victim will go free, if they don’t the victim will be punished.

Chris Carter is a master of killing people in unique and interesting ways, he also intertwines the case with the change in modern society. Which allows the story to ring true and make me check to make sure that my Facebook profile isn’t public.

This book for me is criminal minds in book form, if criminal minds was local police and not FBI. Robert Hunter is an amazing profiler and it really interesting to read how he pieces the evidence together. As the reader we are aware of more information as the chapters don’t always follow Robert, but that doesn’t help you figure out the killer before Robert, you think you know but it is never who you thought.

I give this book 5 out of 5
