I know a Secret (Rizzoli & Isles #12) by Tess Gerritsen

I know a Secret by Tess Gerristern is her 12 book the Rizzoli and isles series. When I started reading the book it was like meeting up with old friends as the last book Die again was published in 2014, but like all good old friends it feels like no time has passed. The series started in back in 2005 ( I can’t believe it been 12 years 😲) with The Surgeon and it has not looked back.

This book follows a girl call Holly, people that she use to know as a child are dying. It’s all connected to a an event from her childhood and a secret she has been keeping.

Rizzoli & Isles catch the case when a girl is found with no apparent cause of death but her eyes have been removed. When another body is found it becomes apparent that there is a connection to religious martyr and a 20-year-old case.

This book is a fantastic addition to Tess Gerritsen thrilling series, I love the balance that Tess Gerritsen gives in her stories. She mangers to give us a surprising crime thriller, with story of love with Maura and family with Jane.

This story was captivating, as you try to figure out who is committing the current murders. You are pulled into the past where you questioning where the correct people convicted and how is one of them connected to Maura biological mother.

I found the religious elements in the book fascinating, I ended up searching to see which martyr is celebrated on my birthday and it is Basil of Ancyra.

I give this book 5 out of 5.
