FairyLoot Novembers 2017 Ladies That Slay Unboxing.

This months FairyLoot box is all about Ladies that Kick Butt in the Young Adult genre.

No box about Ladies that Slay wouldn’t be complete with out Hermione Granger. The first item has been created by Flick The Wick and it’s a beautifully scented candle (Vanilla, Lily, Musk, Raspberry and Citrus) called Hermione Brightest Witch. This candle is exclusive to Fairyloot subscribers, and I might try to get my hands on a larger size a Love the smell that much.

I was very exited when I pulled out item 2, its a Slay Book Sleeve designed by Aunjuli Art. The book sleeve has designed with swords on it (All good Ladies that Slay need a good sword or dagger.) So my books are now safer and more stylist when I carry them arround with me.

Item 3 is a Fire is Catching Badge inspired by Katniss Everdeen from the Hunger Games. Literary Emporium desgined this badge so it can be iron on to clothing or a bag. Perfect for showing your support.

Item 4 was created by Bookish Tea, they have created a tea that is inspired by the Blue Sargent from the Raven Cycle by Maggie Stifvater. The tea is called Blue Brew and it even has edible glitter in it.

Item 5 is a ‘So Long as You Fight the Darkness you Stand in the Light‘, sticker designed by Reverie Ink. The quote is from An Ember in the Ashes by Sabaa Tahir, I have already have the sticker on my laptop.

This box had two book;

 Book 1:

Is an advance reader copy of Furyborn by Claire Legrand, the book publishing date is planned for May 2018.

The Synopsis: When assassins ambush her best friend, the crown prince, Rielle Dardenne risks everything to save him, exposing her ability to perform all seven kinds of elemental magic. The only people who should possess this extraordinary power are a pair of prophesied queens: a queen of light and salvation and a queen of blood and destruction. To prove she is the Sun Queen, Rielle must endure seven trials to test her magic. If she fails, she will be executed…unless the trials kill her first.

A thousand years later, the legend of Queen Rielle is a mere fairy tale to bounty hunter Eliana Ferracora. When the Undying Empire conquered her kingdom, she embraced violence to keep her family alive. Now, she believes herself untouchable–until her mother vanishes without a trace, along with countless other women in their city. To find her, Eliana joins a rebel captain on a dangerous mission and discovers that the evil at the heart of the empire is more terrible than she ever imagined.

As Rielle and Eliana fight in a cosmic war that spans millennia, their stories intersect, and the shocking connections between them ultimately determine the fate of their world–and of each other

Book 2 and the Book of the Month;

Is The Last Namsara by Kristen Ciccarelli, I kept seeing this book around so was very exicted to have it in this box. Also I love the Book Cover.

Synopsis: In the beginning, there was the Namsara: the child of sky and spirit, who carried love and laughter wherever he went. But where there is light, there must be darkness—and so there was also the Iskari. The child of blood and moonlight. The destroyer. The death-bringer.

These are the legends that Asha, daughter of the king of Firgaard, has grown up learning in hushed whispers, drawn to the forbidden figures of the past. But it isn’t until she becomes the fiercest, most feared dragon slayer in the land that she takes on the role of the next Iskari—a lonely destiny that leaves her feeling more like a weapon than a girl.

Asha conquers each dragon and brings its head to the king, but no kill can free her from the shackles that await at home: her betrothal to the cruel commandant, a man who holds the truth about her nature in his palm. When she’s offered the chance to gain her freedom in exchange for the life of the most powerful dragon in Firgaard, she finds that there may be more truth to the ancient stories than she ever could have expected. With the help of a secret friend—a slave boy from her betrothed’s household—Asha must shed the layers of her Iskari bondage and open her heart to love, light, and a truth that has been kept from her.

Thanks for reading.
