I have been a fan of A Court of Thorns and Roses series by Sarah. J. Maas since I stumbled across it on Instagram nearly two years ago. So I was so exited to her about A Court of Frost and Starlight and that this book will bridge the gap between A Court of Wings and Ruin and Book four in this series. I was lucky enough to get one of the Illumicrate Starfall edition (Unboxing to come.)
Feyre, Rhys and the inner circle are rebuilding Velaris and the Night Court after the war. This is the first time that Feyre will be celebrating the Winter Solstices as the High Lady of the Night Court. Feyre, Rhys and the inner circle must deal with their scars as they celebrate the Winter Solstices. Some Scars may impact the future of the court.
I loved this book, as for me it focus it how people deal after the war in differently. I am glad that Sarah hasn’t ignored the trauma but hasn’t let it define the character, and their ability to be happy.
One of my favourite elements of the book is the traditions that the inner circle have, I don’t want to spoil it for anyone by going into too much detail, but two traditions with the boys I would love to watch.
I still haven’t made my mind up about Nesta, I am hoping that in the next book (Which we get a sneaky peek at, at the end of A Court of Frost and Starlight) that we find out why Nesta is the way she is.
The book has chapters from perspective of different characters, I loved being able to see into the minds of the different character like Cassian and Mor we finally get to find out more about them.
One of my favourite quotes is “You look like an angry snowball,”
I give this book 5 out of 5.
