Malin’s mission doesn’t end the way she thought it would, Asher her kind of Boyfriend has been dragged to the underworld, although she wants to go and rescue him. She has a bigger things to worry about, like the fact that the immortals of the underworld are mounting an uprising so they can escape and take back the earth. Now Malin and her friends must save the earth from utter chaos, and find away for Malin to save Asher, and not for them all to die in the process.  Malin has some tough choices to make a head of her in a world filling with enemies.

I like Malin as a character she is a Valkyrie in training who is placed in a situation that most (nearly everyone) would not be able to deal with. One of the elements I enjoy is the fact that Malin will accept help, and you can see that she has grows from book 1 to now, as she now asked for help instead of trying to do it all on her own.

For the Earth to the Shadows has a lot of action, and Malin and her merry band of hero’s do get it to some tricky situations. I kept flipping the pages hoping they all survived each situation.

I am a big fan of Mythology so I relish in all the mythological details in the book, I love who the people and creature have been woven into a realistic modern world.

I still want a Wolpertinger (Malin pet in the book called Bowie.) I loved the detail that Malin made sure Bowie was safe when she was having to go do dangerous things.

The book has been advertised as a duology, but the ending of the book made me hope for more.

I give this book 4.3 out of 5.
