Hi Ami,

September is upon us, and this means lots more books being released into the world.

Below are the book that I have read or I am looking forward too, that come out this September.

4th September

Book: The Dark Queen

Author: Josephine Boyce

Publisher: Self Published

ISBN13: N/A

40001687.jpgSynopsis: Her face is beautiful yet deadly.

Her magic is powerful yet untapped.

Her vengeance is true yet all-consuming.

They call her the Dark Queen.

She will honour that name.
For years, Princess Amarea was abused by the corrupt religious Brotherhood that ruled her lands in her stead. The Daylarian Church permanently veiled her face to shield onlookers from the sinful curse that is her beauty.
Now, Queen Amarea craves her rightful power and swift vengeance.
In a massacre known as the night of the Blood Moon, Amarea slays the Brotherhood and reclaims her queendom from its tyrannical grip.
But despite her new reputation as the bloodthirsty Dark Queen, enemies challenge her both in Maldessa and across her borders. An even darker threat stirs in the midst of her own queendom and threatens all that she loves. Amarea will have to find a way to stop the dark forces that are uniting against her and learn to wield the magic that lies dormant in her veins.
Can Amarea defeat her enemies without giving in to her own darkness?

Gem’s Thoughts:  First off I must say I love this cover, seconded a love the sound of a queen taken back her throne, by any means possible.

40850488.jpgBook: Killer T

Author: Robert Muchamore

Publisher: Hot Keys Books

ISBN13:9781471407505

Synopsis: Our world is about to change in ways we can barely imagine. KILLER T is a novel about growing up in that world.

Harry and Charlie are teenagers whose lives are shaped by a society that’s shifting around them. He is a lonely Brit in his first term at a Las Vegas high school. She is an unlikely friend, who gets accused of mixing a batch of explosives that blew up a football player.

The two of them are drawn together at a time when gene editing technology is starting to explode. With a lab in the garage anyone can beat cancer, enhance their brain to pass exams, or tweak a few genes for that year-round tan and perfect beach body. But in the wrong hands, cheap gene editing is the most deadly weapon in history. Killer T is a synthetic virus with a ninety per-cent mortality rate, and the terrorists who created it want a billion dollars before they’ll release a vaccine.

Gem’s Thoughts: I heard about this book at YALC and was fascinated with the mixture of technology and genes.

35273851.jpgBook: Haunted Blade

Author: J.C Daniels

Publisher: Shiloh Walker

ISBN13:9781495639050

Synopsis: Haunted, Hunted…and harassed.

Never let it be said that Kit Colbana had ever been given the easy road. Or even the semi-paved road. Only weeks after dealing with the mysterious—and murderous—being called Puck, she’s got another killer on her hands. Perhaps even two.

Some of the bodies turning up bring up haunting memories of a past she longs to forget, but as always, that past is chasing her at her heels, like a hated shadow.

As the body count racks up, there’s an imbalance of power, particularly among the vampire population, and Kit must yet again deal with ugly memories as one of the monsters who tried to break her is set free to deal with the imbalance of power. Yet while a power struggle rages in East Orlando, there’s another, more subtle battle taking place and Kit feels like the center of it all.

Arrogant? Maybe. But the dead bodies don’t bear the mark of her grandmother’s pet killer by sheer coincidence…and she doubts her nemesis being released is either.

Gem’s Thoughts: I do love Kick ass women and Kit Colbana is kick ass. This book is dystopian world with a lot of shifter.

Let me know of the books that you are looking forward to coming out this September, I am always on the look out fo new books.

Thanks for reading
