Book Review: Muse of Nightmares (Strange the Dreamer #2) by Laini Taylor

HI Bandhu,

Strange the Dreamer was a Book that I received in a FairyLoot box last year and I feel in love with the beautiful story. When I found out Goldboro had a special edition of Muse of Nightmares it became a must buy.

After Strange the Dreamer Sarai and Lazlo are no longer the people that they once were.

Lazlo now knows he is a God with the ability to control Godmetal. Sarai is coming to terms with being a Ghost, and that her existence all depends on Minya. Also that Minya has complete control over Sarai.

The human and the Godspawn world is on a knife-edge, neither knowing what the other will do next. With the revel that Godspawn lived, question are asked. What are the origin of the Gods, what did they want with the children, why did they come here. As hidden truth finally come to light, Godspawn and Humans will have to unite to defeat monsters from another world.

Muse of Nightmare is a beautiful, some what lyrical story about Love, Loss , Revenge and Redemption.

There was so many different emotion that I felt when reading. The grief felt so real and raw that I felt like my heart was being ripped out and my only option was to cry.

Muse of Nightmare is part origins story wrapped in the continuing story of Lazlo and Sarai. The origins story was fascinating I would love to read more about the world Nova and Kora lived in. Both stories could have had their own books in there own right, but they worked so well together that I am glad there weren’t.

Lazlo, Sarai and the other Godspawn are a great mixture of different characters. Even though they have these amazing abilities, they still have teenage dramas, I.e Feral not understanding what Ruby wants.

Muse of Nightmare has a great mixture of action, drama and tender moments which kept me hooked.

My rating for Muse of Nightmare is 4.5 out of 5
