Unboxing: Illumicrate May 2019 The Final Frontier

Hi Drug,

Today post is regarding Illumicrates May 2019 box, the theme this months was The Final Frontier.

Illuminae Pillow Case illustration by Alice Duke (@Alice_Duke), Quote Design by Chatty Nora (@ChattyNora)

This pillowcase has artwork on one side and a quote on the other. Although I have yet to read the illuminae I like the design.

Kady Grant Magnetic Coin designed by Monolime (@monolimeart)

Although not pictured in the photo, this month Magnetic coin is Kady Grant a character from Illuminae

Howler Luggage Tag designed by Fable and Black (@Fableandblack)

The colour of this tag is metallic pink so it will make finding my suitcase much easier.

Luna Chronicles Cooler Bag designed by Jo Painter (@Po_Jainter)

It’s now getting the perfect weather for picnics, so this cooler bag is a great geeky edition.

Space Sticky Notes designed by Fable and Black (@Fableandblack)

Stationary is one of my favourite things, so loving this space sticky notes. They are a great size for my bullet journal. Plus is it adds some colour to the page

Squad 312 Pouch designed by Meghan (@Iparwing)

As a glasses wearer, I was happy to pull this pouch out of the box. I now can keep my glasses/ sunglasses safe. I like that the artwork is the squad taking a selfie.

Aurora Rising by Amie Kaufman and Jay Kristoff

The year is 2380, and the graduating cadets of Aurora Academy are being assigned their first missions. Star pupil Tyler Jones is ready to recruit the squad of his dreams, but his own boneheaded heroism sees him stuck with the dregs nobody else in the Academy would touch…

A cocky diplomat with a black belt in sarcasm
A sociopath scientist with a fondness for shooting her bunkmates
A smart-ass techwiz with the galaxy’s biggest chip on his shoulder
An alien warrior with anger management issues
A tomboy pilot who’s totally not into him, in case you were wondering

And Ty’s squad isn’t even his biggest problem—that’d be Aurora Jie-Lin O’Malley, the girl he’s just rescued from interdimensional space. Trapped in cryo-sleep for two centuries, Auri is a girl out of time and out of her depth. But she could be the catalyst that starts a war millions of years in the making, and Tyler’s squad of losers, discipline-cases and misfits might just be the last hope for the entire galaxy.

They’re not the heroes we deserve. They’re just the ones we could find. Nobody panic.
