Book Review: Diamond Fire (Hidden Legacy 3.5) by Ilona Andrews

Hi Cara,

Diamond Fire is a Novella that bridges the gap between Wildfire and Sapphire Flame.

Nevada Frida Baylor and Connor Ander Rogan cordially invite you to join their wedding celebration. Summoning, weather manipulation, and other magical activities are strictly forbidden.

Catalina Baylor is looking forward to wearing her maid of honour dress and watching her older sister walk down the aisle. Then the wedding planner gets escorted off the premises, the bride’s priceless tiara disappears, and Rogan’s extensive family overruns his mother’s home. Someone is cheating, someone is lying, and someone is plotting murder.

To make this wedding happen, Catalina will have to do the thing she fears most: use her magic. But she’s a Baylor and there’s nothing she wouldn’t do for her sister’s happiness. Nevada will have her fairy tale wedding, even if Catalina has to tear the mansion apart brick by brick to get it done.

Diamond Fire helps tie up Nevada and Rogan story and introduces us more to Nevada sister Catalina.

I enjoyed that even though its Nevada wedding there is things to investigate and secrets to discover.  Diamond Fire give us more information about Rogan family and Catalina powers. Rogan mum is a character I would like to see more of in the other book. Arrosa is a power to be reconded with.

Throughout Diamond, Fire Catalina comes more into her power and gain more confidence. It was fun seeing her in all her Prime glory.

One of my favourite elements is that the Bayley family are loving and protective. The way they protect each other. Or the way they plan to get revenge on the people that hurt them is fun to read.

The only thing I would of like to see in Diamond Fire is Nevada POV on her Wedding. Or Nevada and Rogan vow, as we all know they won’t be using the standard vows.

My rating for Diamond fire is 4.5 out of 5.
