Book Review: Warrior Fae Trapped (Warrior Fae #1) by K.F Breene

Hi Cara,

I was looking for a new urban fantasy book to listening to and stumbled across Warrior Fae Trapped to the first book in the Warrior Fae duology by K.F Breene. I was drawn to the book due to two words in the book title, Warrior and Fae two things I like in my books.

The truce between the vampires and the shifters is long over. So when the two factions stumble upon a lost fae warrior who has no idea what she is, all hell breaks loose.

Charity hasn’t had it easy. Growing up in a bad part of Chicago, left by her mother at 16, she’s a survivor. So when she gets a scholarship to a good college out in California, she thinks all her dreams have come true.

Instead, she falls headfirst into a nightmare.

At a posh party, she doesn’t belong, she gets the shock of her life: vampires and shifters are real! Magic is real. And she is anything but a mundane poor kid just trying to make it.

Warrior runs in her blood. If only she knew how to use it.

Suddenly, she is trapped between two magical superpowers – a cunning elder vampire who wishes to use her for her blood ties and maybe tie her to the bed, and a sexy alpha shifter who will protect her at all costs.

Her life of surviving never could’ve prepared her for this. And if she doesn’t learn to harness the fae magic running through her blood, she’ll be imprisoned forever.

Warrior Fae Trapped brings a new spin to the Werewolves, Vampire and Fae genre.

This is seen straightway with the way humans are turned into Vampires and that they have dual forms. And the second form is not a bat. This is very different to any Vampire books I have previously read made it fascinating

One of my favourite element of the book is Charity and Devon argumental banter.  Both strong personalities who speak without thinking.  They have that banter that can easily become very steaming.

Charity the leading lady is an amazingly interesting character, a poor nerd whos find out that magic is real, in a very dramatic way. I find the way her magic manifest interesting. I can’t wait to find out more about the warrior fae.

Regarding the plot of Warrior Fae Trapped Breene has created a story that has humour, action, romance and danger all wrapped up with magic and intrigue.  I listened to the book and was hooked very quickly. Several moments I didn’t want to stop listening too.

If you like urban fantasy mixed with some romance would advise picking up Warrior Fae Trapped.

My rating for Warrior Fae Trapped is 4.5 out of 5.
