Book Review: Stalking Jack the Ripper (Stalking Jack the Ripper #1) by Kerri Maniscalco

Hi Cara,

I finally got to reading Kerri Maniscalco Stalking Jack the Ripper.

Synopsis

Seventeen-year-old Audrey Rose Wadsworth was born a lord's daughter, with a life of wealth and privilege stretched out before her. But between the social teas and silk dress fittings, she leads a forbidden secret life.

Against her stern father's wishes and society's expectations, Audrey often slips away to her uncle's laboratory to study the gruesome practice of forensic medicine. When her work on a string of savagely killed corpses drags Audrey into the investigation of a serial murderer, her search for answers brings her close to her own sheltered world.

The story's shocking twists and turns, augmented with real, sinister period photos, will make this dazzling, #1 New York Times bestselling debut from author Kerri Maniscalco impossible to forget.

Opinion

Stalking Jack the Ripper is a well written and interesting take on the Jack the Ripper mystery.

I love Audrey Rose Wadsworth and she wishes to break out of the confines placed on women in the 1800s. I also like Thomas Cresswell, and him also not meeting that society norms. And also accepting Audrey as she is.

I enjoyed the mystery and how Audrey Rose investigates the crimes. What she is willing to do to solve the crimes. Kerri Maniscalco has also included the facts of the case with some creatively licences to keep the story running smoothly and interesting.

There were some great twists and turns that kept me entertained throughout.

My rating for Stalking Jack the Ripper is 4.5 out of 5.
