This is book two in the Court of Thorne and Roses series and Sarah. J. Maas is very good at changing my opinion of characters from book to book. The book is set three months after Feyre death and rebirth as a high fae. She is not dealing very well with what she had to do to free Tamlin and the fae from the curse, but Tamlin is ignoring the signs and doing what he must to keep her safe, when this is making the situation worse.
To save Feyre Rhysand calls in the bargain where she is with him a week a month, this week away allows Feyre to heal and rebuild herself so that she can fight and play her part in the upcoming war.
The relationship between Feyre and Rhysand is such a fun one to read, their friendship and batter help lighten the darkness that is happening. There relationship shows the weaknesses in Feyre and Tamlin relationship. The book to me show that don’t take things on face appearances or prior notions as good isn’t always light and dark isnt always evil.
Now I have to wait till next year to find out what Feyre is going to do next.
Thanks for reading
