Thorne of Glass by Sarah J. Maas

I stumble across this book because of the wonderful book bloggers on Instagram, I am going to keep looking out for their suggestions as I loved this book. I have the second one ready to read and order the rest of the series to be delivered tomorrow.

The book is based around 18-year-old Assassin Celaena  Sardothien has been caught and serving her sentence is a mine (basically a death camp.) She is given the choice to be the Crown Prince Champion in a to the death tournament where she will be fighting against most gifted thieves, soldiers and Assassins in the land. If she win she will be the Kings Champion and once she has served him she will have her freedom back.

The book is beautifully written, I have a bad habit of speed reading over the description but I didn’t want to with this book, I read every word to make sure I didn’t miss any of the little details. The three main character of Celaena , Chaol and Dorian are so well rounded. The situation that they are in could bring out the worst of them but it doesnt.it shows the good in a bad situation.

I have realised that I like female Assassin book as I already love Jennifer Estep Elemental Assassin series which started with Spider Bite.

Thanks for reading
