Book Review: Into the dark (Romantic Suspense #23 Cincinnati #5) by Karen Rose

Hi Cara,

If you have been following me you will know that Karen Rose is one of my favourite authors. When I was approved for my copy of Into the Dark, I couldn’t wait to read Dani and Diesel story.

Doctor Dani Novak has been keeping soccer coach Diesel Kennedy at arm’s length to protect him from her dark secrets. But they are brought together to protect Michael Rowland and his younger brother Joshua.

Since the day that Joshua was born Michael has been his protector. One night he must save him from his stepfather. While hiding he sees his stepfather the man who has made their lives a misery taken away in the trunk of a stranger’s car, never to be seen again.

It seems that is is now the time of Michael, Dani and Diesel to be able to leave their damaged pasts behind them.

Into the Dark is a book that is full of heartbreaking, heart-pounding and heartwarming moments. A compelling mystery that goes into interesting directions.

It’s finally Dani and Diesel Time !!
This book has been long-awaited as we have seen Diesel pine for Dani in the previous Cincinnati books, and we all know that they would be perfect together.

One of my favourite elements of Karen Roses books is that she highlights different issues. This book focuses on a deaf victim and shines spotlight things that we don’t think about. Example our having to have a translator for personal or legal conversation. Or having alarms that light up as you wouldn’t hear the noise of an alarm.

Regarding the case, there two different stands going along Micheal, Dani and Diesel story. It was interesting to see how they were connected and how they were weaved into the story.

Another favourite element of Into the dark is that Dani and Diesel aren’t perfect they make mistakes, and they have their own issues. But they try their best to do the right thing and to help people.

Karen Rose is the master of creating addictive reads. I read Into the dark in one day as I was so engrossed. I happily put on my headphones, so I could ignore the rest of the world and dice into Dani and Diesel story.

Also, the Cincinnati gang for me will be now known as the marshmallow gang.

Shout out to the Marvel character name for the dogs. Especially that Dani dogs is called Hawkeye.

Into the Dark is perfect for crime fans that like romance with there mystery, and a story that pulls on your heartstrings.

My Rating for Into the Dark is 5 out of 5.
