Book Review: This Vicious Cure (This Mortal Coil #3) by Emily Suvada

Hi Cara,

This Mortal Coil Series is one of my favourites, I was so excited to read the third and final book in Emily series This Vicious Cure.

Two factions at war.
A plague that can’t be stopped.
A cure that could destroy them all…

Cat’s hacking skills weren’t enough to keep her from losing everything – her identity, her past, and now her freedom.

Meanwhile, the person who’s stolen everything from her is close to realizing a hacker’s dream: the solution to humanity’s problems in gene form. Or so she thinks…

But now a new threat has emerged – a threat that could bring the world to the brink of a devastating war.

Both sides will stop at nothing to seize control of humanity’s future, and that the centre of this war is Cat, and a race against the clock save millions of lives . . .

This Vicious Cure gripped me from page 1 to page 348. As I closed the book all I could say is WOW.

A little time has passed between This Vicious Cure and This Cruel Design. So there isn’t much to catch up with. Which meant you could fully jump into the story feet first.

This Vicious Cure story is split between Jun Bei and Cat POV. It’s interesting seeing them going at the same problem in two different ways. It’s interesting seeing them going at the same problem in two different ways.

All the characters in This Vicious Cure all have the same trait. They believe they are the hero of the story and are willing to do anything for the greater good. I see this more in Jun Bei and the Viper than any of the other characters.

Regarding the plot of This Vicious Cure, it was well-paced, interesting, it kept me guessing as well as it dropped so great surprises.

One of my favourite elements is the science in This Vicious Cure. I loved how it’s believable and futuristic. I enjoyed how science is weaved into the story and now it added drama when the tech wasn’t doing what it was expected.

The storyline that showed how Jun-Bei and Cat are connected was fascinating and I would never have guessed the connection.

If you like apocalypse book with a lot of science than I advise picking up This Mortal Coil Series.

My Rating for This Vicious Cure is 5 out of 5.
