Book Review: This Cruel Design (This Mortal Coil #2) by Emily Suvada

Hi Enyi,

This Mortal Coil by Emily Suvanda was one of my favourite books of last year. I was so exited when I won an ARC copy of This Cruel Design

Cat thought that with the vaccine realised it would be the world would return to a semblance of normality.

As she try to physically and mentally heal from the her battle with Lachlan. Cat is doing everything she can to find him and stop him realising code into the world that would change everyone against their will. To find him she will have to work with the people she has spent the last two years. It becomes even more important to find Lachlan when she find out a mutation of the virus is affecting people, and the original virus won’t cure it.

To find Lachlan and a new vaccine Cat will have to go to Entropia , the home of the gene hackers. When hunting for Lachlan Cat will find out more about herself and her past and how she became Cat. Overwhelmed with everything, Cat is left questioning who can she really trust.

This Cruel Design is a masterpiece of storytelling.  It melds action, technology, romance in a dangerous apocalyptic world.

The tension and stake are higher , the pace faster in This Cruel Design, technology is pushing boundaries you would never thought of. The twist will take your breathe away and make you thing double check what you have read.

As the leading lady Cat is a fascinating, she is strong, intelligent and is trying her best in a bad situation. Her relationship between Cat and the other characters keep you gripped, her reaction changed when she starts remember more.

When I had finished the book, I was desperate to read the next book. Actually as I am writing this review I am still want no I need the next book.

My rating for This Cruel Design is 5 out of 5.
