Book 2 in the great library series and this book is none stop. The book starts 6 months after Ink and Bone, Jess is near the end of his training for the High Guard and he has been looking for information about Thomas death. This leads the group on the road to break their ties with the Library and do what is right and realise how dark the Library is. The group learns where their loyalties lie and that family isn’t always blood.
I enjoyed this book more than the first, there was so much action and drama in the book that kept me hooked from beginning to end. I am in awe of Rachel Caine and her ability to create such a rich world that is so different but has elements that are ground in reality.
Now I have to wait till July 2017 to see what happens next in Ash and Quill.
