Hi estimats amics,
The Wicked Kings was one of my most anticipated reads of 2019, so I was so excited to final get my hands on it.
5 months after Jude found of Oak royal heritage she navigated the political and dangerous world of Fae.
Jude has bound herself the Caden, the prince that was cruel to her. He is now King and doesn’t like being under her control. When ever he can he will show that he is a Wicked King by humiliating and undermining her in any way he can.
Jude find out the someone has betrayed her, threaten her life and all her plans to keep Oak safe. Jude must find the traitor, continue to control Fae, while deal with Caden and their complicated feeling for each other. Life as a mortal in Fae has never been so dangerous.
The Wicked King is a book that took my breath away.
As I write this review after finishing the book less than 10 minutes ago, my heart is still full of so many emotions. I am still gobsmacked with the ending. Seriously gobsmacked, I don’t know how I am going to cope waiting a year for the answers.
The Wicked King is full of twist and turns. Everyone has their own agenda, you are never sure who you can and can’t trust (more likely can’t trust instead of can trust). You are kept on your toes, as you never no what to expect.
Holly Black sucked me into to the world of Fae from page 1 and by page 322 I was wishing for more pages. The world, characters and story are so complex, interesting and compelling I don’t want to stop reading.
One thing I have learnt for the series NEVER underestimate someone.
Holly Black is the true Fae Queen.
My rating for The Wicked King is 5 out of 5.
