Book Review: Wild Signs (Alpha & Omega #6) by Patricia Briggs

Hi Cara,

Today on my blog I am reviewing the 6th book in Patricia Briggs Alpha & Omega series. Wild Signs is being published in the UK on the 18th of March 2021.

Mated werewolves Charles Cornick and Anna Latham must discover what could make an entire community disappear — before it’s too late — in this thrilling entry in the #1 New York Times bestselling Alpha and Omega series.

In the wilds of the Northern California mountains, all the inhabitants of a small town have gone missing. It’s as if the people picked up and left everything they owned behind. Fearing something supernatural might be going on, the FBI taps a source they’ve consulted in the past: the werewolves Charles Cornick and Anna Latham. But Charles and Anna soon find a deserted town is the least of the mysteries they face.

Death sings in the forest, and when it calls, Charles and Anna must answer. Something has awakened in the heart of the California mountains, something old and dangerous — and it has met werewolves before.

Wild Sign has magic and mystery in spades.

One of my favourite aspects of the Alpha & Omega is the relationship between is Anna and Charles. They have a great balance between the two of them. It was also interesting to see how Tag another pack member act around Charles and Anna, and how it’s different when Anna not around.

Wild Signs finally gives us information about Leah past. The added information has changed my opinion of Leah and understands why she is the way she is. I am hoping it allows more character growth from her in future books.

The mystery that Charles and Anna get drag into it gives me Roanoke Colony mystery. But this time we get an answer. The investigation doesn’t only deal with the mystery bu a something from Charles past comes up.

Two of my favourite things from the book are;

  • Anna being more of a badass when talking to people aka FBI / Witches.
  • Brother Wolf. I love his comments on the situation.

The ending of Wild Sign has left me question two things. Which I think will impact Anna and Charles in another book. One of the things may come up in a Mercy book. Who Knows.

I love Patricia writing style. It makes it so easy to read and get lost in the story.

My Rating for Wild Signs is 4.8 out of 5.
