Hi Cara,
Today on my blog I am reviewing the audiobook of Last Strand by Jennifer Estep. This is book 19 in the Elemental Assasin series and is narrated by Lauren Fortgang.
Every bloody thread has been leading to this . . .
I’ve battled a lot of bad guys in my time, both as Gin Blanco and as the notorious assassin the Spider. But I’ve never faced off against anyone quite as powerful and deadly as the dastardly leader of the Circle secret society.
Just when I finally have a lead on how I can defeat the evil group once and for all, new information comes to light that throws me for a loop. Suddenly, everyone and everything I love is in imminent peril of being destroyed, and I’m racing against the clock to figure out a way to save my friends.
The stakes couldn’t be higher, and the danger has never been greater. Somehow, I need to weave one last strand in my web of death—and kill my enemies before they kill me . . .Â

Last Strand brings the big storyline in Gin life to an end.Â
There is a lot of action in Last Strand, from Bank Heists, Break-in and showdowns. And lots of family drama.
One of the elements I enjoyed about Last Strand is how all Gin's family and friends come around to support her in the revenge end game. Also shows the growth in Gin's character by accepting the help.
The narrator Lauren Fortgang is one of my favourite narrators. I enjoy her performances and all the voices she gives to all the characters, especially as a good potion have an accent.Â
Overall Last Strand is full of action, with great surprises, good friends, good food, humour and a hit of romance.
My rating for Last Strand is 4 out of 5.Â
