Hi Cara,
Today I am reviewing the audiobook of Spellbound in Salem by Milly Taiden. Spellbound in Salem is the first book in The Casters & Claws book. Spellbound in Salem is narrated by Summer Roberts and Brian Pallino.
Raven Bishop is happily doing inventory in her magic supply store Gemstones when a man walks in with an odd warning. Suspicious of his motives, Raven ignores his advice. He might be a police officer, but she knows she can take care of herself. She doesn’t need the help of a man, no matter how hot he is.
Sheriff and wolf shifter Zane Cross has one mission: get the Bishop women safely away from Salem and the order of witch hunters intent on riding the town of all witches. He doesn’t have time to deal with his wolf howling at him that they’ve finally met their mate. Especially not since the woman in question refuses to follow him to safety until she is attacked.
In the secluded cabin, far away from the threat of death, the grumpy sheriff and headstrong witch will have to find common ground in order to survive the Order of Salem’s attack. Can Raven put her pride aside and let love save the day?
(Synopsis from Goodreads.com)Â
Spellbound in Salem is easy to read urban fantasy romance.Â
PLOT: Even though there the action stems from the attack on Raven. Most of the story focus on Raven and Zane. The story has a lot of steamy moments.Â
CHARACTERS: I liked both Zane and Raven. I was frustrated with both of them in parts. But overall I liked them both. As Raven is strong and loves her family, where Zane is tough and caring. Showing strength/power/ good looks don't arent the only thing that makes a great man.
Audio Performance: I enjoyed both Roberts and Pallion performances. They both did a great job of doing both the male and female voices. I would listen to both narrators again.
OVERALL: Spellbound in Salem is an enjoyable, quick read if you looking for an urban fantasy romance.Â
My rating for Spellbound in Salem is 3.9 out of 5.Â
