This months Fairyloot theme is Whimsical Journey, which I find a perfect theme as we come up to summer and holiday time.
Item 1:
Adventure Tote Bag Designed by Stella’s Bookish Art
The design of this bag is beautiful, I showed it to my mum and she loved it so much that I won’t be surprised if she find away to keep it for herself. That is saying a lot considering my mum is not a fan of The Hobbit.
Item 2:
Magical Beasts Luggage Tag designed by Lovely Owls Books.
I love this luggage tag, I need to book a holiday so I can use it. Maybe I will use it on my suitcase when I go down to YALC.
Item 3:
Blackjack Enamel Pin designed by Tarajah
I have always loved Pegasus (mainly from watching Disney Hercules.) I haven’t read Percy Jackson, but I am already a fan of Blackjack the Black Pegasus.
Item 4:
Carpe Diem Notebook Designed by Little Inkling designs.
This notebook is a great one to, to use when you’re planing your day. As it reminds us to Carpe the hell out of this diem.
Item 5:
Fictional Place Art Print by Fictiontea Designs.
This Art print is a great reminder of all the great fictional location, that I would love to visit in real life,
Item 6:
Leif’s Ship Candle by Flick the Wick
This candle smells of trees and sandalwood, which is a great compensation. I am going to wait till I am reading this book to light the candle so I fell like I am on Leif ship.
Item 7:
Reusable Narnia Coffee Mug designed by Ink and Wonder
I love Ink and wonder designs, they are so bright and vibrant, I don’t really drink hot drinks but I will be drinking more, so I can show this off.
Book:Â
Beyond a Darkened Shore by Jessica LeakeÂ
The ancient land of Éirinn is mired in war. Ciara, Princess of Mide, has never known a time when Éirinn’s kingdoms were not battling for power, or Northmen were not plundering their shores.
The people of Mide have thankfully always been safe because of Ciara’s unearthly ability to control her enemies’ minds and actions. But lately, a mysterious crow has been appearing to Ciara, whispering warnings of an even darker threat. Although her clansmen dismiss her visions as pagan nonsense, Ciara fears this coming evil will destroy not just Éirinn, but the entire world.
Then the crow leads Ciara to Leif, a young Northman leader. Leif should be Ciara’s enemy, but when Ciara discovers that he, too, shares her prophetic visions, she knows he’s something more. Leif is mounting an impressive army, and with Ciara’s strength in battle the two might have a chance to save their world.
With evil rising around them, they’ll do what it takes to defend the land they love…even if it means making the greatest sacrifice of all.
