Hello Sadiq,
Today review is about Heir of Ra by M. Sasiniowski. One of my favourite historical periods is Ancient Egypt. When I saw Heir of Ra and read the synopsis my inner history geek was intrigued.
Alyssa life is all about studying history signed up to study history, she never thought she would be rewriting it.
He father has finally been permitted to dig under the Sphinx for the fabled Hall of Records, but when he does he unleashes an ancient disease that lives his life. Alyssa must race to find a cure, but when she does she stumbles onto an artifact that could change history and even destroy the future.
Alyssa must evade people who want to use what power for nefarious reason, with the unexpected help for student Paul Matthews. They must unravel the deep secrets hidden that connect mystical civilisation and Egyptian mythology before her father dies.
Heir of Ra is a fun read.
It is easy to read, the plot is fast paced. Characters that are interesting, and great mix of locations. I could easily picture this book on the big or little screen.
The mixture of history and mythology takes Heir of Ra in a direction that surprised me and kept each page interesting.
The feeling I am left after reading Heir of Ra is that there is a much bigger picture. I am keen to see what happens next for Alyssa.
Alyssa is the lead character in Heir of Ra, she would definitely give Indiana Jones a run for his money. In knowledge and trouble hey get into.
Heir of Ra has;
- Action
- Mystery
- Archeology
- Drama
- Mythology
If you like any of these elements in a book that I would pick it up.
My rating for Heir of Ra is 4 out of 5.
