Book Review, Crime Fiction

The Devil’s Triangle (A Brit in the FBI #4) by Catherine Coulter & J.T Ellison

I thought I would have a break from fantasy and go to be other book love of crime fiction.
The Devils Triangle is the fourth book in the Brit in the FBI following Nicholas Drummond and Michaela Caine as they now have their own team Covert Eye. The job it to tackle crime and criminal international. This book brings back Kitsune ‘the fox’ a very clever and talented thief she called Nicholas asking for help she has stolen an religious artefact and on delivering it to her customer tries to kill her. Nicholas and Michaela are tasked with arresting her and bring her back to the states but things become more completed as Kitsune has stumbled onto a bigger operation that could cause destruction to the world.

These book are in the same universe as Catherine FBI series as Savich will have small parts in this book. Nicholas Drummond was introduced to us in The Final Key when he is still working with British Scotland Yard and help Savich Sherlock and Caine recover the stolen Koh-I-Noor diamond.
Nicholas mother is American and father is English as he has joint citizenship he was talked into joining the FBI where he has had one of the quickest rise in the ranks.

I do enjoy this series especially Drummond and Caine but their are element that I have to take with a pinch of salt. The series is becoming more like James Bond than the standard crime fiction. The action scene are epic and enjoyable very movie worthy, the plot are more simple very cut and dry who is good and who is bad. I don’t if it because I am a twin that I didn’t like the one dimension of the Twins in this book there were both brilliant but the way in which they handled situation wasn’t to me logical.
I can’t wait to see what International crime that Drummond and Caine have to solve next and what part of the world they will be saving.
